Nose: Rye spice, soft spearmint

Palate: More spearmint into slight baking spice

Finish: Oak and some chocolate maltiness

Introducing the second of Matt Crittenden’s Forgotten Four Grain Bourbon. We released the first version of this last year after discovering the barrel in the Crittenden’s rickhouse, forgotten about. After a detailed search of the rest of his inventory, Matt claims this is the LAST barrel of his four grain bourbon, so this will likely be the last chance to purchase this whiskey for at least another 5 to 6 years (if he makes more).

The higher rye (36.5%) contents and addition of malted rye (8.5%) makes for a uniquely flavorful bottle. Full of spice, grain, and even if TJ can’t find it but everyone else can, a little sweet dill, it’s a conversation starter for sure for your next bottle share.
