Tasting Notes

Nose - Light and sweet, with pronounced oak, earthy undertones, darker apple notes, and baking spice.
Palate - Vanilla and powdered sugar lead into sweet oak and a rich vanilla custard note.

Bio

Maker’s Mark, well-known for their classic hand-dipped red wax seal and unique flavor profile, may be off the beaten path compared to some of the other bigger distilleries in Kentucky. The barrel selection at Maker’s Mark is unique in that there is an element of design involved– allowing us to really customize what kind of juice we wanted. 

Of course, we know that when we go into a barrel selection, just like a bourbon hunt, the chances that we end up with more than we planned for are high. This barrel pick is wildly different from the MandiNOT, but full of caramel and chocolate richness. We can all thank Jill (and Seth) for this one!
